Do not use Daktarin or Daktacort if you are allergic to the active substances, other similar anti-fungal medicines, or any of the other product ingredients. If you forget to use a dose of these products do not double dose.

Daktarin is suitable for external use on the skin and nails to treat fungal infections in children and adults. Apply enough Daktarin cream to cover the affected area and surrounding skin and rub in gently with clean hands. For the treatment of skin infections : Apply Daktarin cream to the affected skin in the morning and at night for at least 10 days after all signs of infection have gone away. This will stop the infection from coming back. For the treatment of nail infections: Apply Daktarin cream once or twice a day.

Miconazole is unlikely to cause any serious side-effects, although it can cause mild irritation and itching in some women.
